I'm an analyst and bi developer at a large company. Love my boss, love my day to day work but could not possibly give a fuck about the goings on within the company. Hot new account? Don't care unless you want metrics about it. Big leadership changes? Whoop de doo Basil, what does it all mean?
I do try to innovate and coach others other parts of the country who are new and in similar roles. It's not like I don't try I just don't care if it doesn't directly involve me and am tired of everything being a company wide priority and patting ourselves on the back for basic stuff.
I know this is hardly a unique position, I'm just not sure what to do. I keep my eyes out for mid sized companies that interest me and entertain every offer that comes my way but my skill set seems limited to a corporate setting most of the time.
