I started at this job 6 months ago exactly. My boss has a reputation for being very direct. We hit it off the first few months and would even flirt with each other a little bit. Fast forward to 3 months in. I messed up a project and she started getting very hostile with me. Some rumors and gossip started to go around. She would call me in group chats etc. she works in another city (about an hour away). An employee who used to report to her told me on her last day all the gossip and rumors my boss was saying about me. The company chat was monitored and my boss got in trouble. Since then she’s been pretty mean to me, especially at my 4 month evaluation. Last month I tried talking to her about it because she was ignoring me, and was very mean when I asked her for help (which she said I didn’t do enough). I said it felt like our dynamic had changed and it felt like when she worked with other people she was ok but felt like she disliked me personally. She was nice for two weeks but then was mean again. The gossip and rumors started up again. We had our monthly review meeting. The partner of our firm wanted to be in it because I had done some work for her and she had feedback. My boss yelled at me for saying “ok” to something she said while my throat gurgled. She then yelled at me because I was slightly over budget and I said I could go under budget in the next month. I asked her if she was mad at me over the phone and she denied denied denied. The week after that, she went out of her way to be nice to me. The partner who was in the call too. She has avoided being mean to me. She still has given me feedback. She has starting yelling at other people rather than me, people she didn’t use to yell at
