Ebay users who have not purchased anything on Ebay in the past 12 months can get $5 off when applying code PERKMEUP in the cart.

Use "buy it now" on an item greater than $5. Select PayPal as the payment method, but do not submit your order yet. Apply the coupon code near the bottom of the checkout page. Be sure the $5 discount applies, then submit your order.

The fine print says the coupon works for people who: "have not purchased on eBay in the past 12 months, either through their registered account or as guest users."

We paid $13 for this cable, and worked well for us. This 50-foot Cat-6 Ethernet cable is flat, so it's easy to run along the baseboard without being noticed. We have our cable hidden behind a wire cover for a cleaner look, and the flat cable is easier to manage than a regular round cable.

Electronics Express has the best deal on the TCL 55S405 55-inch 4K (2160p) TV with HDR and Roku. Price is $380 with free shipping, and no sales tax for customers outside of Tennessee and Alabama. Also, coupon code 5OFFPROMO applies 5% off (apply in the shopping cart).

We owned this TV since December, and love a few things about it:

• The price. It's one of the best prices available for a 55-inch TV today.
• The HDR. This was our upgrade from a 1080p TV, and the HDR made the colors appear more life-like.
• Built-in Roku. Roku remote included, and the TV can be fully controlled by the Roku app (including power on/off).

Beware that Electronics Express does have a few negative reviews from customers who bought from their retail store, but we heard few problems with online orders. They sell a lot through Amazon and Ebay, and usually have great prices.

For example, a Craftsman Blower/Vac is $50 with free shipping, and gives $50 credit toward another purchase at Sears. According to the fine-print, the credit should apply to your account sometime between Sept 30 and October 13 and may appear as two separate credits on different days that will total $50. The promotion credit cap is $50.

2-Pack of Kitchenaid Stainless Steel cooking skillets (8" and 10") for $12.72. Free 2-day shipping on a $35+ order, or in-store pickup is available (takes 3-5 days). The reviews are positive.

For cookware, we recommend stainless steel and cast iron, while avoiding "non-stick" cookware. While stainless steel are more susceptible to scratches, and cast-ison are more difficult to clean, we read several sources claiming traditional "non-stick" cookware can leach chemicals & toxins into food.

They are also selling a soccer ball for $3.38.

LG 55-inch 2160p 4K TV with HDR for $500 with free shipping. A free $100 Dell Promo eGift card is automatically added to the cart, and delivered by email a few weeks after purchase.

The free $100 "Promo" eGift card can be used toward anything at Dell.com (computers, monitors, TVs, accessories, etc.) within 90 days from delivery.

The TV normally sells for about $500 without a free gift card.

Even if your home does not have 4K (2160p) players, the HDR benefit is a noticeable upgrade from a 1080p TV since blacks look actually black and colors look more vivid.

They are also selling a Vizio 55-inch 4K TV with HDR for $500 and includes a free $150 Dell Promo eGift Card. To see other TV deals, click here. In the middle of the page, look for the "Filter by Category" dropdown menu, and choose "TV & Home Theater Deals."

Note that TV prices could rise in about 6 months (some say by Christmas), so now may be a good time to consider upgrading an old 1080p TV to 4K with HDR. Although the impact of tariffs will seem to hit clothing, shoes, and furniture sooner than electronics, experts seem to believe all household goods will ultimately hit US consumers' wallets in the near future.

Insignia Voice Smart Bluetooth Speaker & Alarm Clock with Google Assistant. It works like the Google Home but in alarm clock form. Plays streaming music, tells the news & weather, and controls smart devices in the home.

Choose either:

• Insignia Bluetooth Speaker & Alarm Clock with Google Assistant
• Insignia Portable Bluetooth Speaker & Alarm Clock with Google Assistant, Rechargeable 5-Hour Battery

The price is $40 for the regular one, or $150 for the portable one. Don't worry, the price will change:

1. Add one to the cart.
2. View the cart, and change the quantity to 2
3. The total price changes to $50 for the regular model, or $70 for the portable. Those are for 2. Shipping is free.

At $25 each (or $35 each for the portable), this is cheaper than 2 Google Home Minis at $39 each.

The reviews of the Insignia speakers are mostly positive. Reading the reviews, people love the sound quality, the Google Assistant, and the clock on the front. However, some reviews complain about the wrong time being displayed, and little support available to help. As one reviewer said, "hold on to your receipt in case you can't get the time to set properly and need to return the unit."

Amazon's Fire TV streaming media player with 4K output is on sale for $40 for Amazon Prime subscribers only. Price shows up as $70, and changes to $40 when logged-in to an Amazon account with an active Prime membership.

Note that the Fire TV does not work with services owned by Google, such as YouTube. If you want the best of both worlds and okay with HD (1080p) instead of 4K output, we love the Roku Streaming Stick with Remote for $49. Works with all streaming video services (Amazon Prime Video, YouTube TV, etc), so you don't have to feel locked in to one company.

Amazon Prime membership costs $119/year for a household (or $59/year for active students) and includes free 2-day shipping on many items, free same-day shipping on certain items, and streaming movie/TV/music services. If you don't want to pay for Amazon Prime, there are free alternatives on free shipping, including:

• Walmart has free 2-day shipping with a $35+ order.
• Shoprunner gives free 2-day shipping at 140 online stores. It is free for American Express card holders or free for anyone with a PayPal account.
