31, unhappy in my current jobs & trying to find answers

Hey all

So recently I've gone through some what of an anxiety ridden phase where I got a new job (a contracts/billing admin) in a similar wheelhouse to the work I've mostly done over the years (accounting clerk, billing analyst etc), my degree was in accounting mainly because I didn't know what else to do.

I feel regret at not trying enough different jobs in my 20s, looking down on certain jobs thinking the were lesser & now I'm in a situation where I'm trying to find purpose and meaning in the work that i want to do.

I have no idea what my passion is, what k thoroughly enjoy, at this moment all I'm aware of is that I'm 32 in September, unhappy with my life & unhappy with the type of work I've been doing, & something has to change.

I've looked at a few different jobs, from firefighter, to electrician, to solar PV installers (hard to find good info on this) & in a lot of ways they seem interesting, more fulfilling than what I'm doing, but the anxiety & fear creeps in and makes me doubt a career switch, doubt that I'll find a job that's better than what I currently do, hell when I asked my grandad what he thought of solar PV installers he simply said "dead end"...& It seemed to crush whatever slight hope I may of had in that moment.

My questions to you all are;

• Is a career change at 31 really the smart move?
• does it seem like a dumb move to go from working in corporate type work, to something like a trade, especially if I'm not in my 20s anymore?
• what jobs are fulfilling, how do you know if you're potentially switching to the right thing.
• to add to that... What if you switch career and only so it for 3 years? Does that mean you've essentially wasted years, does it shut the door on potentially returning back into the realm of corporate drudgery if you decided to.

So many more questions I guess but my mind is all over the place.
