I've had a temp job for about 9 months now. It's data entry, pretty straight forward. I get to work from home and I make more than minimum wage. But...
Oh boy do they work you to death. I am currently on month and a half mandatory overtime with no days off. I gave in and called yesterday and took a day off. Today they made me feel really guilty about it. They always threaten us to pickup our typing speed which is super frustrating when I'm already exhausted and I've always met my quota. I'm mentally fried. Always tired, always grumpy. It's looking like this overtime will last awhile. Just thinking about quitting gives me a huge morale boost.
Anyways, I was on indeed and I do see some ok jobs opening in my area. Not sure if I should just accept my time coming to an end here at this place and find something else or just keep reminding myself to be thankful and push through as long as I can. Doing almost 70 hours a week no days off is just killing my soul. I mean there are worse and more tough jobs out there, I don't know. I'm always open for new perspective.
