Ok so my title isn’t exactly accurate, I’m GOING to the interview, perhaps more out of curiosity.
So I got a message on a recruitment board (UK) from an employer. I had responded with my CV to their listing about a week prior. They invited me to an interview at a location they aren’t registered at.
Without giving too much detail, the job was essentially directing traffic through Covid-19 testing sites and facilities. I hadn’t heard of the employer before so thought I would look them up to find out what they were all about.
I quickly became suspicious when all of their online activity, including websites and social media ceased entirely circa 2016. It also looked very unprofessional. They have £125,000 in assets, which for a company carrying out what I assume is a government contract I find this hard to accept.
The information I could find about them shows that they are a private security and close protection service working domestically and overseas.
They haven’t called me, just messaged, very informal.
Is there something really obvious here that I should be suspicious of? Or am I just being paranoid?
