2 week notice advice

I’ve been working remote ever since the pandemic started and now I’m leaving this job for another and I have to give two week notice, I can’t see my boss in person and we rarely talk on the phone maybe once a month. Should I just email him the notice? This is my first time giving a 2 week notice.
