I went through a staffing agency and got a job at a warehouse. I really enjoyed the job, but was laid off in march due to covid. The supervisor of the warehouse said that we would be the first they called back once they started ramping up. They only called back a handful of the previous temps, and I wasn't one of them. I really liked that job, so I've been trying to get it back, but they have been giving me so much hell. I called the agency twice and they said that the warehouse would call me if they wanted me back. Next, the staffing agency emailed me with a list of open positions, the warehouse being one of them. I said I was interested but they never messaged me back. They emailed me again, asking for my updated resume so that I'd be at the top of their list when they have positions open. I sent it in and still haven't heard anything. Mind you, I'm still in contact with a couple people from the warehouse and they've added maybe ten new temps since then, so obviously I'm not anywhere near the top of any list. I called again, as soon as I gave her my name she said she would look to see if I was one of the ones they were gonna call back, but that she was in an interview and would call me back. She never did, so I called 3 times the next day with no answer. I called again today, and without telling them my name, asked if the warehouse had any open positions. They said yes. They asked if I'd went through them before, I said yes and gave them my name. They said that they would make a note in my file so a recruiter could see I'm interested when the warehouse has a position. What the heck is going on? I don't think I ever said or did anything wrong. I was a good worker with good attendance. Aside from giving up on this shitty temp agency, what should I do?
