Is it okay to call HR Recruiter for Follow-up after Interview?

So I have a dream job that I completed the final interview for ~2 weeks ago. The last candidate interviewed ~1 week ago.

The HR recruiter hasn't been great at prompt follow-up or coordinating interviews until the last minute. (e.g. she e-mailed me on a Saturday at 7pm for an interview on Monday)

I sent the HR recruiter an e-mail on Tuesday afternoon with no response. I'm afraid if I e-mail her again, my e-mail will just get buried like last time. Would it be inappropriate or pushy for me to call the recruiter on Friday for a status update? I know I could just wait... But this job anxiety is killing me.
