So I never had a full time job before outside of working 3 day conventions. However, I have done a many side gigs(mostly unpaid) but I don’t know how to explain them properly. For example I help manage and provide customer service for a popular mobile game. I don’t get paid for this as from my point of view it’s more of being community volunteer. However, I’ve been thinking this somehow counts as experience. I remember I used to help out in a Laundry Mat but that was so longer ago who ever ran the place at the time surely isn’t there. Used to do some android development in High School but it wasn’t for a company just me and some friends I’ve met online working together to build android software. In High school I also was in a program for two years learning web design, graphic design, and multi media. Also, sharing 3 years of photography between High School and college. In my early years of High School I also ran a fan page for wrestling fans. Started out as just something for me to do but grew a following. Posting news stories and building a community creating discussions and gaining feedback. I’ve earned a certificate in Adobe Photoshop , it’s dated but my high school program paid for me to take the test for it and I competed in a competition called Skills USA at the time for Web Design. Got 4th but had no idea that using templates was allowed, built mine from scratch.
I’m pretty sure I’ve done more things but just can’t remember anything that stands out. Anyways, out of what I do have is there any way I can frame these things into a resume or an experience sheet that stands out?
If it helps I’m 25, own an Associates Degree, an Letter of Recognition for A+ skills (doing all required tech based courses my college had) currently in the DMV area. I’m also applying through jobs via apps like Glassdoor and Zip Recruiter.
