Has anyone gotten a job at a call center if you had a misdemeanor?

I applied at a call center for verizon. And I did all the paperwork, showed forms of ID, resume and completed background check.

I was sent a congratulations email for joining the team. However, they told me that after the background check is completed they will let me know when I can come in to the 30 day class training for customer support. I did not let them know I have a misdemeanor knowing they will pull it up anyways. I really want to work here since I been looking and word of mouth is that call centers hire felonies and or misdemeanor people. But I don't know if that holds true. I yet will find out in time.

But, its eating at me if I will most likely be rejected or if its true call centers don't matter if you have a misdemeanor. I have a misdemeanor for this year, petty theft. Doing probation for one year and I'm doing everything told and responsible. Does anyone know my chances of getting this job? And if not where else can I apply for a job that hires folks with a small misdemeanor on their record?
