Am I getting a background check? And if I'm getting a background check does mean I got the job offer?

Ealier today I finished a job interview for a barista position with the store manager and I'm not gonna lie, I feel like I bombed the interview what with all the hard questions she was giving me.

I would honestly say the fact that she didn't give me a definite yes to the job position means I didn't get the job. However, the one thing making me think otherwise and giving me hope is the fact she said she'll CC me an email that she'll send to her recruitor asking why he didn't call me to set a job interview with her.

She told what the job of recruiter was which is to recruit applicants for job interviews with the store manager and to do background checks.

She told me I was suppose to get a call from the recruiter to set up a job interview with her because my application met qualifications for the job position. I told her I didn't get the call from the recuitor. I was the one taking the initiative of doing a follow on my job application and asking for a job interview- I basically skipped the middleman.

So now I'm thinking the only reason why she'll CC me an email that she'll send to her recuitor because I'm getting a background check....right?

From my understanding the recruiter has two main jobs: recruit and do background checks. I already did his job for him and got myself a job interview with the manager so the only thing left for him to do is do a background check on me.

The fact that she gave me the name of the recruiter and is going to give me his email address means I got the job.....right?
