What do you usually say when a recruiter asks you “what’s your compensation range” when you are unemployed?
I have about 3 1/2 years of experience as a financial analyst my last salary was $70,000 on my previous position and $76,000 on my previous role before my most recent role. I took the $70,000 because I didn’t receive any other job offers when I was previously unemployed.
However, based on statistics. I should be making roughly $85,000 to $95,000 per year. However, given that I’m not working I don’t if should ask for this range when interviewing for jobs? What should I do?
