I work for a small company (about 50 people ) and they are restructuring/reorganizing some departments. I currently work as a quality assurance assistant, but I recently passed an licensure exam to become a registered nurse. They are moving the quality assurance department that I work in under a new process improvement department, and there will be an opening for a quality assurance nurse, which I am now eligible for. I was told that they are currently interviewing for this new position, and that I can be considered for it. But I'm not sure how internal applications work, or how to find out more about the specific responsibilities. Do I submit a resume and cover letter? If so, who do I submit it to? They said they are currently interviewing people and are looking to find someone within the next few weeks.
