I have no idea where or what to work in. Please suggest career fields or companies that may be a good fit to think about! I do not want to be a teacher/professor.
I'm a Classics major and a Neuroscience minor.
My interests are: health, TV (shows not news), pets/animals, public health, puzzles, classics, medicine, some technology...but it doesn't have to be related to those...I'd be happy working for Nike or a random place if the job itself is engaging.
My skills are: enthusiasm, organization, dedication, creativity (to an extent - couldn't be a writer or artist), presentation skills, communication, writing, social acuity, research skills
I want to work somewhere with equally energetic, friendly, and passionate people...I want to be an independent worker, but at least sometimes work with others, maybe brainstorming solutions. I want to work in a communal environment/open offices.
95% of my friends and favorite classmates are all STEM (bio, chem, engineering) - I tend to work really well with STEM-minded/interested people for some reason!
I need to work somewhere where the people enjoy what they do and socialize -- of course I need silent alone time to concentrate, but I would like there to be a general quiet buzz.
I loooove giving powerpoint presentations, I love coming up with ideas and pitching them...don't like the idea of selling/networking unless I really believe in it. I like research.
I got an internship for this summer proofreading, editing, researching content, sending emails, analyzing contracts, etc. seems kinda boring but at least it's in a professional workplace.
I also would prefer it if the environment wasn't super cutthroat- I would like to feel comfortable with my bosses and co-workers.
I know this was a lot and maybe impossible (suggestions don't need to match everything!) but if anyone has ANY ideas please comment advice below!! If you work in or can think of any job titles/fields that check off a couple boxes, or a company with a similar work environment, I would greatly appreciate it!
