I started this job six months ago. I started in the accounting department of automotive, been there for 1 month. It was a weird department with strange women. They offered me a transition to operations. I suppose to do client acceptation and analyze account statements, but they have let me done the administrative work, because there was a backlog. Checking signatures and doing payments for 5 months now.
I have a jumpy resume, yes. With wrong decisions. My dad died 5 years ago and I can’t get myself back my feet these last 5 years. But a good degree in Finance and some accounting experience.
The next week I have to transfer phone calls and enter orders in the system.
Because of this I wrote my manager an email. That I was ok with managing the backlog, but I don’t understand how this is going to be financial/economic work. And I understand the company needs the extra hands, but for the next 6 months (1 year contract), I don’t know how this is going to help “me” in my career.
Have I gone to far?
There are a lot of assistant - controller / accounting vacancies in my country. More suitable. Thanks
