I'm probably being a little neurotic here, but I went in for an interview for a job I'm really interested in on Friday. On Sunday night, I received an email from the HR Director letting me know that I made it to the next step, and asking for my references. I sent her a list of my references first thing Monday morning (I contacted all of my references beforehand to inform them). They haven't contacted any of my references yet. The HR Director said that it was an email questionnaire that they send out. In the interview they told me that they were wanting to make a decision this week. I'm just worried that I'm the number 2 candidate as they haven't reached out yet. I know it hasn't been that long, but they seemed anxious to make a decision, and ever other step has gone pretty quickly.
