My mother[52] is struggling to find work and I don't know how else to help her.

My mother and I recently moved back to our hometown in December and I started at a local car dealership taking over my friends job as a Lot Porter a couple of weeks ago.

Ever since we've moved back it has been super difficult for my mom to find a decent paying job with a good company because there isn't a lot of options for work around here for people her age, especially with no degree. She's been turned down by several places, had a few interviews and has sent over 80 applications and her resume to within the passed couple of months for just about anything besides fast food and retail type jobs because we cannot live on that salary. Before we moved she was working at a law firm and has reached out to the hiring manager there but they filled that position within the company. She has 20+ years as a medical transcriptionist but that job title is slowly disappearing because of technology.

I've tried helping her as much as I can but nothing seems to be working and I don't know what else to do. It seems like us young people have better chances at finding jobs nowadays but the older generation struggles as I've read a few posts on here and articles.
