Job fair soon, current employer will be there. Probably will be spotted...

So there's this big job fair next week. Employers, some very desperate, very open to talk and interview you can get feedback on resumes on the spot, etc (major staffing problems in our area)

My employer is making a 60km trip to it. I live 2 minutes from it.

I'm looking, i'm not quite sure i want to leave, but i need options.

Assuming the risk of being spotted at the fair by the HR department (they all know me) is probably 100%:

-Should i just skip the fair ( i think i can find who'll be there) or just be honest with HR about my openness to a new job ?

-Would it affect my salary negociations coming in 2 months ?
