How to avoid workplace nastiness?

I've been at this job less than a year and I'm not planning on leaving. Earlier today I was on shift and my colleagues were saying how everyone 'new' that started are just lazy, unwilling to work extra etc and how they're all going to meet up but I'm not invited.

To be honest I didn't realise it was (possibly) a dig at me as I do work hard, take on some extra hours if they suit me and try to be pleasant to all. I'm also on the autism spectrum so I don't always pick up on stuff like this. I don't know how to proceed next, I was thinking to just leave it and carry on with working.
