Asked to interview for a different position

I had a very successful interview last week with a saftey and compliance company where i was going for an entry level customer/client service role, they have since asked me to come in and interview for a far bigger and more important role (assets and logistics team lead). This has never happened to me and was wondering if others have had similar experiences and if so does it often end in employment, i also cant find this new role advertised anywhere
