Hello all,
I’m writing this at work quickly so I apologize for formatting issues in advance.
Super long story short(er): I have been trying to get a “real” job for a while now (3-6months) after working per diem and freelance. I finally got one about 2 weeks ago, and I’m working along, going through training ... and then I get word (the DAY) after I started that my husband (43) and I (36/f) have the opportunity of a lifetime to own our own restaurant and complete turn our lives upside down (in the best way possible). The thing is, we need the money in the meantime - we are looking to close the deal next month. If I tell my boss I need to leave I highly doubt they’d keep me on and continue with training if I’m not going to stay...but I feel bad just calling them when I don’t need them anymore and telling them that I need to leave and I won’t be coming back.
I work for a major corporation, literally making billions so I sort of don’t feel too bad about but wanted to see if anyone has ever gone through something similar and has any wisdom to share!
