Every job search help guide I look at emphasizes doing practice/mock interviews but I've noticed that except if one is preparing for a coding or technical skills assessment, most job searchers I know don't pay much attention to behavioural or situational-type questions.
The general feeling is that it is very easy to talk about themselves and their experiences without needing to prepare a somewhat structured response. I'm personally doubtful about that because I've been told I should structure my thoughts because I tend to ramble a lot.
Anyways, has any of this ever being the case in your job search? How do you prepare for an interview and did you find practicing beforehand valuable? Thanks.
