Hey everyone! So I have been doing a lot of searching about salary negotiations, but I never really found an answer to my specific problem. So I am going to be graduating university (California State University) with a BS in Computer Science this December. I just received 2 job offers from 2 different fortune 500 companies. Both companies are located close to San Francisco. Company A offered me 89k with 5k sign on and 3k stipend for relocation. Company B offered me 75k. Both companies have amazing benefits, but I think I am going to go with Company B (75k) because of the career mobility/growth it offers me. After doing research on glassdoor, pay scale, labor stats, etc the average pay for this job in this area and more specifically for Company B is about 98k. I really want to negotiate the offer though, but here is the thing. I just got the written offer today and it looks like the pay grade for this job is 65k - 85k? Way less than the average. So, I was wondering is there any way to negotiate to maybe match Company A's offer of 89k? I fear that they won't since I am a new grad coming from a unknown CSU and the only experience I have is research, one part-time software developer job at my campus, hackathons, and projects. Any thoughts?
