I’m a graduate trainee leaving my current job in a month plus and have served my resignation letter with 2 months notice. Boss and seniors cut back my involvement. He gave me some research work to be included in my department’s KPI in the beginning of October, 4 topics in total. I tried to do it as slow as possible because other than that assignment, they have not been assigning me anything. so the last topic I submitted was done on 31st October. It’s nearly halfway through November and I am bored out of my mind. I clock-in at 8.45, have my coffee and read the newspapers (yes newspaperS, PLURAL) until it is 9.15. Check out websites like bloomberg etc, 9.30. Check out reddit on my phone (bc my office blocks a shit ton of websites and I got caught once installing vpn) and it’s only 10.15. I then continue to scramble around finding SOMETHING to do or pretend I have something to do until it’s 12PM and I take a 2-hour lunch break. And my most stressful part of the day is just browsing the only two websites that is not blocked on my desktop until it’s 6PM. I literally did nothing (work-wise) the whole day for nearly a month now and my brain is dying. Any suggestions on how to survive the remaining 1 month plus of doing nothing?
