I have a misdemeanor sexual battery (no registration) on my record, occurred 3 years ago. I have a solid work history since the incident. When do I disclose this during the interview process?

Edit: I have completed probation and therapy and have made significant and long lasting changes to my personal life. I recently was offered an opportunity to interview for an executive aide position at a bigger firm. I have been working since before the conviction in a similar role. My gut says the right thing to do is disclose the conviction because it will definitely come up and I don't want to catch anyone by surprise but I'm not sure when or even how to mention it. So far, the background check hasn't come up and I'm almost certain I will be offered a position.
