Good afternoon folks. I am a senior graduating in May, 2019 from a university in DC. I am an international affairs major, and I'm looking to work in politics or government relations. For those in the field, how long does the Capitol Hill hiring take? Should I be applying now? I have five semesters and a summer of internships and jobs related to my major. I am very, very busy dealing with my senior year and the end of a fraternity presidential term, so I'm looking to get my employment situation sorted out as soon as possible. I have an extensive network to call upon, I just need to know when I should seriously start. I've applied to several listings, but understandably I was not accepted as I am not free to begin until May. Any tips appreciated!
