I just got off the phone with an interviewer who said that I had to give more references or documents, because applying with a different name might constitute "lying on your resume." I'm transgender and have not changed my legal name yet, but I'm not sure if I should disclose the part of me being trans to the team. I've never had this problem with other positions I've applied to so far.
