Recruiters are useless

I have gone to 4 different recruiters and I get the same song and dance where they tell me the nice salary I'll get, great resume I have, how quickly they should find something, blah, blah, blah. It's been a month and not 1 recruiter has presented me with a job. I've called to keep in touch, asked if there is something I should do, should I tweak the resume and they make it seem everything is fine. Crickets. I honestly don't understand what it is they do. I'm tired of chasing these people and they are really starting to piss me off. They are small family, large companies, you name it. I don't know what else to do.
