I'm currently a a sophomore at UGA intending to major in MIS. I have credits from another college that doesn't count towards my degree (such as calc 1 & calc 2) and I'm just trying to make use of those credit hours. Is it worth obtaining the Actuarial Science Certificate just to stay competitive in the job market? I'd graduate a semester late if not on time. Also, what kind of jobs are out there for an MIS major with an Actuarial Science Certificate? My future goal is to be a data analyst/IT consultant if that helps.
