I have gone through 3 interviews, 2 with supervisors and 1 with department manager, and have negotiated an offer with recruiter (and they confirmed with the department manager).
I have completed my references as of last wednesday morning (it was an online service) and am not sure if they will follow up with calls (my references have not received any).
The recruiter said that I should expect a request for a background check online form and covid verification. However, that hasn’t happened, yet. Moreover, the recruiter said that when I do get it, the background check online form, that I should follow up with them. It seems like she isn’t convinced I will get it?
I am probably overthinking. I felt like I had it secured because the job fits perfectly with me (along with having done everything else).
Should a reference check take longer than a week? Is there something that I am being oblivious to? Should I chill, focus on something and let whatever happen be?
