I am currently in a job and field that is not for me and I feel miserable in. I have tried a lot of things to make myself think of the job differently and make it tolerable for myself, including changing my mindset. It works temporarily but I have to go through the whole process again and it’s mentally exhausting. It’s also a high stress career and lower pay than most fields. I know the ultimate career I want to get into, but it will take time to transition. That being said, I have been applying to different kinds of jobs in the meantime for income while I am focusing on transitioning to my dream career. I am considering adding pharmaceutical sales reps to my application list. I have always found it interesting, and know a couple of people in the field but never considered applying until now. There are a few entry level positions near me and in the job posting it even said people who want to switch from other careers are welcome to apply. What is it like to be a pharmaceutical sales rep? I want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly.
