Wanting to quit job after week because it’s too demanding? Is this normal- what would you do in this situation?

Recently got a new job. I gave it a week and I honestly can’t take it. I knew it would be hard changing industry but I feel like they are not giving me enough time or training especially knowing my resume.

I recently switched industry from fashion to financial/reporting. This 180 has honestly got me so confused to why they even offered me a job to begin with.

Within a week they already have me assigned on changing a process (on something I have little knowledge of), a few projects, and a presentation due in the upcoming week. On top of it I been cross training other people jobs for when they are out. I don’t even know my job clearly but they having me train on other reporting. This has been all done within last week.

Today I was assigned a new project right as I logged on and I literally know nothing. Not only that but I was recently told I was going to slow in one of my tasks.

Is this normal when switching jobs? I work from 8am to 6pm with no time for lunch because they keep booking meetings.
