Sign I’m getting the job?

After an interview with the hiring manager and an assessment task, I was told that the last step for the interview process would be checking references. A week after providing my references, I follow up with the hiring manager who asks to meet with me this week.

While I know I won’t officially know until I meet with them, I just wanted to see if this is a good indication I got the position, or should I not get my hopes up?

(This is a contract position and from what they told me they would be hiring 5 people).
