Need opinion. I wrote down all my dislikes. I work tomorrow.Thinking of going/ giving my 2wks or just leave the job, just call off and be done with it. I have talked about my previous job, which I regret leaving after working this job. But this job is physically hurting my joints.
It isn't for me. Working in a nursing home/Rehabilitation Center-Housekeeping Cons Every month we have to change cubicles. On odd-even days, check for good or bad hooks, clean the frames- mattress to the beds. We get graded twice a week for our work. Every day we clean, dust, broom( with a duster), wet mop the floor. Change the garbage, and additional bags to the cans. In the cans are spoils meaning their diapers, shit or pee. They say we don't clean those, but cleaning rooms you smell that as well.
I had a panic attack when they were on alert for covid and some residents that were affected had to get quarantine. Meantime we have to get tested twice a week in which quite a few of think she is not doing it right. Bwcause I don't even feel my nose being touched. I have managed to pick up test strips on the floor. Pills,( so they are not getting proper medication). When you tell them, they say can't do anything about it and throw it in the garbage. I understand that its hard to follow up on meds since you deal with others all day. They look at us as we are beneath them since its the Housekeepers job. I have been around when they drop things and they say, leave it the Housekeeper will pick it up. I m just done I knew this job wasn't for me, just holding on for a paycheck. But when I feel sick, nauseous, and my elbow joints starts to lock and cause pain never felt before,, my body is saying something different. Enough is enough.
