Hey guys, first time posting here!
For some context, I've been working in television for about 3 years now and I've been working in post production as a Production Assistant all of this year on a US based TV show (I'm working in Sydney, Australia). My contract is coming to an end early November and I'm looking for my next gig if my current company hasn't offer me anything as of yet.
I was recently headhunted on LinkedIn by a US SFX company looking for a remote coordinator in Australia (I'm in Sydney, and their AU office is in Melbourne.) I had a zoom meeting with a producer and she seemed very keen to get me on board ASAP (almost it seemed just shy of offering me the job) after my current contract finishes. We set up a zoom interview for the week after with another producer.
Unfortunately the day of my 2nd interview I got an email early in the morning saying it had been postponed due to conflicting scheduled - the PA re-organized the meeting for the week after, no biggie. I've now woken up this morning with another cancellation. The executive recruiter actually emailed me this time apologizing that this particular producer was working on the ass end of a major film and if I could re-organize for "a few weeks time."
I am majority conflicted about all of this. I was hoping to get this all tied up in a nice bow this week so I could plan some time off and I feel like they're not respecting my time as a potential employee. My father's a HR lawyer and he thinks they've blown me off enough times and that I should look elsewhere. But this job offers me remote work which is something I've been enjoying for the last 3 months in Sydney due to a lockdown and I want to stay remote.
This company is also as I've said a MAJOR SFX company internationally and I feel like it could have some great career progression for me. Does anyone have some solid advice to getting blown off several times? Thank you!
