Hello! I applied for a job at a company that I really want to work for back in mid-June. They got back to me in the middle of August apologizing for the late response and asked if I was still interested in the position. I confirmed that I was and a phone screening interview was promptly set up. After the interview, the interviewer mentioned several times how I was perfect for the position and that they would definitely put me on the shortlist for an in-person interview.
2 weeks passed and I heard nothing, so I emailed for an update and was told that the location I am applying for is still under construction and they are a bit behind, but I should, "hear back soon". Another week and a half went by and the interviewer messaged me asking if I was still interested. I confirmed that was and she said, "great, thank you. Someone else will be in contact with you in the upcoming days" .
It has been 10 business days since that message and I still haven't heard back. I haven't been rejected and I passed by the location I would be working at which looks to still be under construction. However, the website says they will be opening in October, so I am getting a bit worried. Should I be reaching out for another update or continue to wait it out? Really like everything I have seen from this company so far and want to continue my application there, but it feels like I am putting all my eggs in this basket, and me getting the job is not a guarantee. I have gotten a job offer at another company, but I can't see myself being happy/productive there; I need money so I guess I will soon have no choice.
