I took a new job a few weeks ago but it's already very obvious I'm overqualified based on the tasks I've been given, and also judging by the experience of the person who is meant to be senior to me
I don't mind when I'm working from home - I get my work done in an hour or two and I can get on with whatever else during the day, but I have to go into the office 2 days a week and it's torture sitting there pretending to be busy
I can very clearly see there are areas that need someone to pay more attention to, however I'm not gonna be an idiot and take on more work without the pay rise, and I don't think they'll give me the pay they'd give someone external for doing the same thing
Should I take to my head of department about the situation (technically my manager) - if yes, what do I even say to make sure I'm fairly compensated, OR do I find a way to work from home at least 4 days a week?
