I am trying to apply for a job that has nothing to do with Major that i pursued in Uni. I haven't had any jobs before so my resume feels really empty but the job that i am applying for is in the creative industry so i have the portfolio ready . It's not the best but i think it should be good enough to get an entry level job. Also, thanks to my self sabotage tendencies and depression I didn't accomplish anything throughout school or college so i literally have nothing.
I don't know if this counts as career change but i looked up tips for career change and all of them seem to be about (obviously ) people who have had a job in one industry but then switched over and how to rephrase their experience for the new job.
So, i need tips for career change for someone who has not had a job before.
When switching career, one advice i have come across is to explain the reason for the switch in objective statement of resume. The reason i want to switch is that i am more ( most) passionate about this industry but is this a good enough reason to put on the resume?
P.S. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, i struggling to find the right words to describe my situation. Any help is appreciated :)
