Insurance adjuster???

So I came across a forum where somebody said he was making bank as an independent insurance adjuster. Supposedly it cost 600 to get certified and able to be independent. And ever since makes 10k a month. Another guy said he works for an agency making 24hr which is stil good money. How much of this is actually possible? Any insurance adjusters here?
