A year ago I was unemployed and going through all the crap that was typical for 2020 and more. At the end of the year I decided I was going to turn my life around and put myself first. Cut off a bunch of people, started exercising and got a good engineering job. I was getting paid a bit low for the field but I was grateful to have a job and a job that allows me to travel.
I posted earlier today about cutting off a toxic friend. Then I spoke to a friend and said “everytime I get rid of a source of negativity, I always get something good in return, you just gotta be patient and wait for it.” Well literally the same day I find out I got paid way more than usual. So I checked and yeah, $6 more per hour than before.
On new years I wrote 5 goals I wanted to accomplish. This raise now allows me to reach that 5th goal. Fuck yeah.
