Hello everyone,
Sorry, i meant email, not interview lol
So, for the last couple of months I've been on the hunt for a new full time job. I quit my previous job back in May, as it was a toxic work environment. I've been struggling to find a good, decent paying full time job all summer. I've been mostly looking at Customer Service/Client Success type positions, and entry level Human Resources/Marketing/Copywriting jobs, as I have educational background in those fields (Diploma in Journalism and a Diploma in HR).
Today I received an email from a hiring manager at a local business, and they would like to interview me. The thing is this: 1) They neglected to mention the position I supposedly applied for and 2) I can't find anything for this local business online that I may have applied for.
Here's my question: Am I allowed to ask them for clarification on what the position is?
I don't want to come off as sounding unprofessional in anyway and I feel asking a hiring manager "Sorry, what position is this interview for?" just sounds unprofessional.
Any suggestions?
