Seasonal Employment

I’m interested in a seasonal full-time retail position, but the job posting says “seasonal employment will end on January 9th”, and I’m only available until January 3rd. Is it still worth applying to see if they will make an exception, or is it pretty likely that won’t make an exception since they gave a specific date?
