first time applying to jobs, and I have no idea what I'm doing.

I'm 21, and I dropped out of highschool. I've kind of felt like I've fucked myself over in terms of getting hired anywhere before I finish getting my GED, but I decided I should finally at least *try* to apply, regardless of how hopeless it feels.

I started filling out my first application for a store that is opening recently in my area, and I have no idea how to properly answer questions like "what are your expected minimum earnings" and "why would you be a good member to our team" (which is essentially the "tell us about yourself" question.)

in terms of earnings, I don't want to expect too little and get taken advantage of for asking for a low amount- but I also don't want to say I expect too much and get rejected for that.

And I have immense trouble writing about myself in a way that would catch employers attention.

I have no experience working (obviously) or socializing. so, I really don't know how to present myself in my application. Do I even have a chance getting hired in my situation? I'm just really struggling to have hope and need advice
