Company beating around the bush about salary?

I've made it to the final round of interviews before hire. I've been fine with everything so far, but I'm definitely starting to feel uncomfortable about the fact that I have asked several people at this point what the job pays, as well as have given my salary expectations, and have still not received an answer as to how much I'll be making in the role.

Recruiter #1 says "there's a range specified, but I don't have it at the moment." She tells me that the hiring manager should know. Speak to the hiring manager, who claims he doesn't know and that recruiter #1 should have it. Eventually speak to a different recruiter for the same company who tells me, again, that the hiring manager should have it, and that she'll go ahead and message recruiter #1 to ask the hiring manager to give it to her, so that recruiter #2 can tell me what it is. At the end of the phone call, recruiter #2 says "okay, I have the salary info. I'll email it to you in a bit."

This seemed very odd to me because a.) if you have the salary info, why not just tell me right now over the phone? b.) it's been almost an hour since the call ended and I still don't have an email with any salary info.

This is my first opportunity for a "real" job, so I don't know if I'm getting worked up over something normal, but this all seems very sketchy to me. I told the first recruiter what my salary expectations were, and while she wasn't able to tell me what the company's range was, she went ahead and pushed me through to the hiring manager anyway, which makes me think that what I specified was within what they're willing to pay. I'm basing this off the fact that previous recruiters have been upfront with me in the past that the company wasn't willing to pay what I specified, and did not push me through to the next round of interviews based on this alone.

This is company is also a start-up, if relevant.

I've already agreed to this next round of interviews and worried I'm heading into a bad situation. Any advice?
