I have a job interview next week with a company I really want to work for. I love the culture, type of business they’re in, and it’s a place I could really see myself grow my career at if I stay there. For the particular job I’m interviewing for, I have to complete a one month training program if I’m hired, which I was told that I could not take any time off from.
I’m worried that even if the interview goes well and I get an offer, they may not want to hire me if I miss a day or two of training. My jury summons is for early October, and this is assuming I would start my training at the same time. Is this something I should bring up during the interview? Can they legally not hire me solely because of this? I’m in the US if that helps.
