15yo working his first job...this place feels like it's from the 1950s...

I just got my first job working at a grocery store called Market Basket. It feels like the 1950s, us guys all have to wear dress shirts/slacks/and ties at all times. Even if we are out pushing carts and loading/unloading things. And all the guys have to have short hair, I was told at orientation today that before I start my hair needs to be neat and professional...off ears and collar.

My best friend works there and really wants me to work with him...he says he doesn't mind the dress code and that it's good preparation because alot of jobs require ties and clean cut hair. Still, it seems excessive for a grocery store job, and for a bunch of high schoolers.
