I've been trying to find a job for about a year now and so far haven't found any who were willing to hire. I've been applying to fast food and retail. These jobs have gotten me a few interviews that I wasn't able to do for technical reasons.
I've almost completely exhausted the fast food jobs I can do and am now trying to find other jobs. I'm really struggling as everything I can find requires experience (even stuff like dishwashing). I've also tried volunteering but the same problem emerges.
Here a few facts:
-
Don't have a car, too expensive to get a licence due to driving lessons setting me back about 6k.
-
No experience in anything except for some volunteering and a brief week stint at a job (all of these were acquired through nepotism).
-
Network that constantly points me to jobs that don't exist. My network includes my family since I've never been interested in making friends.
-
No references whatsoever.
-
Resume includes education, experience, and a fake list of skills.
-
Currently doing a University course that I'll probably drop out of when i get work.
-
Only goal is to move out.
-
No career aspirations.
-I live in Melbourne, Australia.
