how can i check if i am eligible for disability / unemployment ? i am mentally ill

i can’t juggle my job and mental health anymore. depression/anxiety/eating disorder are kicking my ass and my family won’t help me out financially. i checked the website for my city (nyc) and i’m not sure if i am eligible or not due to a) i have 7k in my bank account and the cap is 2k per individual, and b) i have not paid taxes, at least as far as i know.

i’m really trying my best to make it out here but i really do need a break. i can’t return home but i have to pay rent as well. please help me out.
