Giving 2 weeks notice but I'm away for one of the weeks?

For many reasons including chronic health conditions and general unhappiness, I've decided that my job is no longer for me. The staff and place are great and I don't want to burn bridges. Am i an asshole for handing in my 2 weeks when next week I'm away and then I can work the last/2nd week? I leave sunday and would e-mail it in tomorrow night. Physically can't do this job anymore, I've weighed all the pros and cons. I'm in school and 23.
